Well after playing with the dual core E6600 I decided it was time to up the stakes a little.

I've had a quad core Q6600 G0 SLACR low power editiion CPU sitting in my benching box for a few weeks now, I wish I'd gotten it out earlier.

Well after the sucess of my first air benching session I decided to do another run and this time things got really interesting.

I used the same harware as before, however this time seeing tighter RAM timings and faster cores speeds still coming into play, and what a play it had.

Well after finally getting somewhere with a new board from Asus in the form of my RMA P5B I got to do some benching with my E6600 again. Unfortunately after I moved to Lincoln I only had the stock air coolers for all my CPU's so this is how I'm doing so far. The benching in this article is done outside to keep ambient temps down.

I have created a benching rig for all my benching as I use a MacBook as my 24/7 system now, this will be shown in another article.
